Orange and Yellow Tomatoes

Determinate Bush type Tomatoes:	The Determinate Tomato plant stops growing when the fruit sets and the majority of fruit develops at the same time over a 3 to 4 week period. Determinate Tomatoes generally do not need staking. Caging does help to keep everything together though.
Indeterminate Vine type Tomatoes:	Indeterminate Tomatoes continue to grow, set fruit, and ripen until a frost arrives. Indeterminate Tomatoes grow best when grown with stakes, cages or some other kind of support. Instead of using string to tie up Tomatoes (string has a tendency to cut into the plant), try tearing an old bed sheet into 1" strips and using the strips to tie them up.

Old German Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Old German (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 75-85 days An old Mennonite (religious group similar to the Amish) heirloom from West Virginia. The Old German Tomato is a yellow tomato with wonderful streaks of red which radiate out from the blossom end. Indeterminate plants produce large 1-2 lb. "boat" shaped tomatoes. With it's delicious sweet tomato flavor, Old German is one of the best slicing tomatoes on the market. A truly old-fashioned heirloom gem. Yellow Pear Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Yellow Pear (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 70-80 days This attractive lemon yellow, pear-shaped heirloom dates back to the 17th century. The Yellow Pear Tomato is mild and pleasant, rich in vitamins. These colorful favorites are a perfect addition to pasta salads, and are great sliced, in sauces, or as hors d'oeuvre's. The tall, indeterminate vines produce hundreds of firm skinned, 1 1/2" long fruits. They do require caging or staking.
