| Determinate Bush type Tomatoes: | The Determinate Tomato plant stops growing when the fruit sets and the majority of fruit develops at the same time over a 3 to 4 week period. Determinate Tomatoes generally do not need staking. Caging does help to keep everything together though. |
| Indeterminate Vine type Tomatoes: | Indeterminate Tomatoes continue to grow, set fruit, and ripen until a frost arrives. Indeterminate Tomatoes grow best when grown with stakes, cages or some other kind of support. Instead of using string to tie up Tomatoes (string has a tendency to cut into the plant), try tearing an old bed sheet into 1" strips and using the strips to tie them up. |

  Amish Paste Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato |
Amish Paste (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 70-85 days One of the largest of the paste tomatoes, known for it's wonderful flavor. The Amish Paste Tomato is an heirloom that was discovered among the Amish in Wisconsin, although it originates with the Pennsylvania Amish. With a nice balance of sweet and acid, this tomato is great for eating fresh, canning, and is especially terrific for sauces. These large indeterminate plants produce high yields. The fruits are oxheart, almost teardrop in shape, deep red in color, with thick flesh, and few seeds, weighing approx. 8-12oz. Needs special attention to support as plants tend to be droopy. This is one of our favorite tomatoes, and many we know swear by it to be one of the best paste tomatoes! Item No. ToAP |

Roma (VF) (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 70-80 days One of the most well known varieties of tomato, it's popularity has become world-wide. The Roma Tomato has been a favorite of gardeners and cooks alike since it's introduction in 1958. Known for it's fine taste and meaty flesh, this disease resistant variety is most widely sought after for use in sauces and ketchup, as well as salsas.
