Carrot Recipes

If you have loose soil, you should be able to pull the carrots out of the ground. If you do snap some roots off, loosen the soil first with a pitchfork or shovel. Clip off the leaves, leaving 1 inch of stem. Brush off any loose soil and layer in moist sand or sawdust and store in a root cellar. If you don’t have a rootceller; store in plastic bags in the refrigerator.
