The round, straight, smooth pods have a distinctive flavor with traces of Blue Lake's sweetness, and are very tender when cooked. Snap Bean An old heirloom bean variety, originally introduced in 1864, which remains one of the most popular pole beans to this day. Kentucky Wonder Heirloom Pole Beans produce some of the most delicious green beans you will ever taste. Tall, hardy 5-7' vines produce clusters of large numbers of 7-10" bean pods, bright green, flavorful, and full of plump brown or white seeds.
