Red Tomatoes

Determinate Bush type Tomatoes:	The Determinate Tomato plant stops growing when the fruit sets and the majority of fruit develops at the same time over a 3 to 4 week period. Determinate Tomatoes generally do not need staking. Caging does help to keep everything together though.
Indeterminate Vine type Tomatoes:	Indeterminate Tomatoes continue to grow, set fruit, and ripen until a frost arrives. Indeterminate Tomatoes grow best when grown with stakes, cages or some other kind of support. Instead of using string to tie up Tomatoes (string has a tendency to cut into the plant), try tearing an old bed sheet into 1" strips and using the strips to tie them up.

Abe Lincoln Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Abe Lincoln (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 87 days This is the original strain of Abe Lincoln Tomato. Abe Lincoln Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato has beautiful large dark red fruits that are sweet, solid and meaty. The fruit tend to be smooth and free from cracks and seams. Ace 55 Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Ace 55 (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 75-85 days An outstanding variety bred specifically for market growers. The Ace 55 Tomato is resistant to cracking, bruising, and bursting, a perfect farmers market tomato. Has a nice sweet flavor, without the acidic taste of other tomatoes. These med-large indeterminate plants have good foliage cover and produce 7-12 oz. red, thick walled, flattened globe shaped, meaty tomatoes, perfect for eating fresh. They are not the best for canning, however, due to their low- acidity. If canned, they must be pressure canned to prevent botulism. Very good disease resistance. Amish Paste Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Amish Paste (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 70-85 days One of the largest of the paste tomatoes, known for it's wonderful flavor. The Amish Paste Tomato is an heirloom that was discovered among the Amish in Wisconsin, although it originates with the Pennsylvania Amish. With a nice balance of sweet and acid, this tomato is great for eating fresh, canning, and is especially terrific for sauces. These large indeterminate plants produce high yields. The fruits are oxheart, almost teardrop in shape, deep red in color, with thick flesh, and few seeds, weighing approx. 8-12oz. Needs special attention to support as plants tend to be droopy. Anna Russian Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato	Anna Russian (a.k.a. Ann Russian or Anne Russian) (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) 65-80 days A wonderful heirloom tomato variety from Brenda Hillenius of Oregon who's grandfather had obtained seeds from a Russian immigrant many years ago.
