(Zea mays) 70-105 days.       A very hardy variety of dent corn commonly used fresh for roasting, much hardier than any sweet corn, and can be planted weeks earlier. Non-GMO Trucker’s Favorite Yellow Corn produces fine 8-10″ ears with 14-18 rows of plump, tender, sweet corn on heavy stalks 8-8 1/2′ tall. Preferred over the white for fresh eating. As with all field corn, it is best picked during the early milk stage for fresh eating. The dried kernels can be ground for flour or used as livestock feed. Widely adapted, but particularly well suited for the Cotton Belt and the South. Heat tolerant and does well, even in adverse weather conditions. Resists corn earworm’s. Disease Resistant. High yields.

Planting Instructions for Trucker’s Favorite Yellow Non-GMO Corn Seeds

Heirloom Trucker’s Favorite Yellow Non GMO Corn is a warm to hot season annual, sensitive to cool soil. Direct seed heirloom corn when soil reaches 65-70°F. Plant seeds 1- 2″ deep, 4-6″ apart, in rows 20-30″ apart, in full sun. Corn is wind pollinated, so plant in blocks of at least 4 rows. Trucker’s Favorite Yellow gGermination should occur in 4 – 10 days in soil 65-85°F. When plants reach 4-5″ tall thin to 8-12″ apart.
