Bush Pickle (Cucumis sativus) 45-50 days. A hard to find, compact, highly productive, open-pollinated variety. Bush Pickle Cucumber plants only grow to 3', about half the size of typical vining plants, making it even easier to get to the cukes at harvest time. Very nice for small gardens and container gardening on patios and rooftops, a popular way to grow your own vegetables these days! Try growing 2 plants in a 5 gallon container. National Pickling Improved (Cucumis sativus) 54 days. A very prolific, old-fashioned varity, a favorite among gardeners. The National Picling Improved Cucmber grows to 6" long, medium green, with black spines. They can be sliced for eating or used for pickles, a very versatile variety. Marketmore 76 (Cucumis sativus) 58-75 days. Bred by Dr. Henry M. Munger of Cornell University and released in 1976. The Marketmore 76 Cucumber quickly became the standard in slicing cucumbers. Does very well even in hot weather, producing dark green, blocky, 8-9" fruits, white spined and tapered at both ends. Sweet and mild flavor. High quality and great yields. Spacemaster 80 Bush (Cucumis sativus) 57-64 days. This bush cucumber is perfect for small gardens, raised beds, or growing in containers, providing easy access at harvest. The Spacemaster 80 Bush Cucumber has fine flavor, and does not turn bitter, even when grown in full sun. Bred by Dr. Henry M. Munger of Cornell University and released in 1980. These compact plants produce very high yields of 7-8" fuits, dark green and smooth. Pick frequently for continual yields.
