Trip-L-Crop Tomato (A.K.A. Italian Tree Tomato, Triple Crop)
Days to Maturity: 70-85 Days
Introduced in 1937 by the Burgess Seed Catalog, Trip-L-Crop is a vigorous indeterminate variety with towering potato-leaf vines that reach 15–25 feet and yield several bushels per plant. Its large, meaty tomatoes weigh 1–2 pounds and grow up to 6 inches across, with deep red, nearly blemish-free skin and a balanced, slightly tangy flavor. The firm, dense flesh makes them excellent for slicing, canning, and cooking. Thriving in full sun, this variety benefits from sturdy trellising to support its heavy yields. A rich source of vitamin C, potassium, folate, and vitamin K, it also resists Fusarium Wilt, Tobacco Mosaic Virus, and Verticillium Wilt.
